On February 6th, 2016 dedicated volunteers of The Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo spent their Saturday morning cleaning up litter from our adopted highways in Irmo. Through the Adopt-A-Highway and Adopt-A-Street programs, we take part in preserving and maintaining streets throughout the Midlands, particularly for us the Irmo area. We remove litter from our segments of road at least four times a year for two years. The benefits are significant to our local community.  Not only does it serve as an educational tool against littering, it establishes stewardship of our public lands.  This program helps advance tourism, development and quality of life for all of our citizens by improving the appearance of our area and saves taxpayer dollars by performing a valuable public service on a volunteer basis. It takes us all to keep our community beautiful and we are proud to be part of this program. PART_1455109937256_FullSizeRender PART_1455110068674_FullSizeRender
