Pictured are Pres. Blakely Roof , speakers Diane and Richard Ernst, and Rotarian Sponsor Alice Yorkis The Chicora Rotary was honored to have a Vietnam Combat Veteran, who received 2 purple hearts and a Silver Star for his courage in combat .  The Silver Star medal is given for conspicuous valor while in combat.   It is the 3rd highest decoration for valor given by the military.  His wife spoke about the Quilts of Valor that can be given to all military veterans who have served during a time of conflict affecting the U.S..  This outstanding organization has quilted over 193,000 quilts and given them free of charge to anyone who has served in the military.  Several Chicora rotarians have received or are into the process to receive these quilts.

The Chicora Rotary is extremely proud to be apart of this great project!
