It has been a busy week for the Georgetown Lunch Rotary Club.  We gave out 39 pairs of new shoes to students from 7 local elementary schools thru our Happy Feet project.  This is our clubs 4th year doing this service project with a lot of smiling faces!  Aside from our Happy Feet project, our club also distributed dictionaries to all 3rd graders at 3 elementary schools in Georgetown County.  The Dictionary project is a collaborative program established by the five Rotary Clubs in Georgetown County in 1999 that has provided over 13,000 free dictionaries to third graders in Georgetown County.  What is work with no play?  Our Rotarians served hot dogs at the Wooden Boat Show in our hometown of Georgetown, SC.  What a week!
Most importantly to end such an awesome week, we had the honor and privilege to formally present a check for $37,000.00 to the Coins for Alzheimers Research Trust.
