Hilton Head Island, SC . . . At last week’s meeting of the Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island, Patricia Wirth, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity accepted $67,000 and the Club’s volunteer commitment to build a home in The Glen, Habitat’s new and first development on Hilton Head Island. Also, Major Bryan Tatterson of the Salvation Army, accepted more than $27,000, the result of the Club’s bellringing during the holiday season.
Rotary Club President Andrea Siebold commented that she was very pleased to make these awards, totaling nearly $100,000, on behalf of Club members whose volunteer and fundraising efforts continue to benefit our local nonprofit organizations and our community in significant ways.
