Alan Walters has been a member of the Rotary Club of Georgetown and has maintained perfect attendance since joining the club in 1993.  His classification is Judiciary and he is employed as a Magistrate for Georgetown County and Municipal Judge for the Town of Pawley's Island.  Alan served his club with distinction as President in 1999-2000.  He served as Assistant Governor for 3 years and has served in several capacities at the district level including the District Nominating Committee, the Long Range Planning Committee, RIDDE chairman, CART Fund, Area Dictionary Project Chair and as District Club Service Director.  In addition, Alan has been involved in numerous community, business and charitable organizations including his current service as Vice President of the Coastal Carolina Council, Boy Scouts of America and Magistrate Vice President of the SC Summary Court Judges Association.  Alan is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Foundation Benefactor and 10 Star Rotarian.  He and his wife Susan Welch Walters have two sons, Bobby, 11 and Jason, 9.  They live in North Litchfield Beach in Pawley's Island.

Rick is a native Charlestonian, past member of the Summerville

Rotary Club and a current member of the Charleston Breakfast Club.  He served on numerous Board and Committee positions with both clubs mosnotably as Centennial President of the Charleston Breakfast Club.  His District responsibilities include: Grants Club Committee Chair and is the District Governor Nominee for Rotary year 2010-2011.  Rick is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Major Donor, Benefactor and Charter Member of the Paul Harris Society.  He and his wife Ann, live in Charleston where the enjoy sailing, travel and outdoor activities.

Paula J Matthews

Paula joined the Spring Valley Rotary Club in 1991.  Her Rotary Sponsor was Whit Anderson, now a member of the Rotary Club of Summerville.  Paula’s father the late Van Jones was also a member of the Rotary Club of Laurens for 32 years. 

Paula served as club President in 1996-97.  During her year as President the Rotary Club of Blythewood was chartered.   She served as GSE Team leader to District 2340 Sweden in 2004.  In addition she co-chaired the 1998 District Conference, has served as Assistant Governor, and Club Foundation Chair.

Currently she serves on the District Finance Committee, CART Fund, and District Foundation Committee.  A Ten Star Rotarian, she is also a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, charter member of the Paul Harris Society, and a Bequest Society Member. Paula is a recipient of the Rotary International Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service.

Professionally, she is a Certified Financial Planner and has a Financial Planning Practice in Columbia.  Paula is married to Ronnie Matthews.  They have two children and five grandchildren
