The Rotary Club of Little River hosted North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad representatives who spoke about the Rescue Squad’s early years, its current activities, training, and area of operations. The NMB Rescue Squad is one of the oldest rescue squads in the state, having started providing services in May 1958. They are totally funded by contributions from the community, primarily by their annual Fish Fry held on the first Saturday in October. The NMB Rescue Squad provides rescue and ambulance services in North Myrtle Beach, Atlantic Beach, Cherry Grove Beach, Little River, Longs, Wampee, Brooksville, and the Poplar communities. The Rotary Club of Little River salutes the dedicated and professional women and men of the North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad!
