NMB Rotary Service Admin, Jennifer Terrell, Sea Haven’s Wendy Gore and NMB Rotary President Tripp Davis.
The North Myrtle Beach Rotary Club’s speaker, Wendy Gore, Development Director of Sea Haven, shared the good news about breaking ground on their new larger facility located on Highway 57 between Highways 9 and 90. They will now be able to accommodate 12 with room to grow to 16 in the future. Wendy and her staff promote Sea Haven and their Safe Place program in the schools, offering a support network for 13-17 year olds that need them. They provide shelter and give them responsibilities such as chores to do during their stay. Wendy and her team also have a Combat Hunger Program providing food at the high school level for those in need.
The Rotary Club of North Myrtle Beach is also happy to announce their Annual Spaghetti Supper is TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21st (5:30-7:30pm), at Ocean Drive Elementary School in North Myrtle Beach. Tickets are $8.00. If you’ve been with us before, then you know this evening is about more than spaghetti. There are games and face painting for the kids, silent auction items to bid on for the adults, and baked goods for dessert for everyone! The club is also pleased to announce the return of MINI-LEGENDS to perform during the evening. Last year we had many mini-stars from Elvis and Prince to Katy Perry and the Blues Brothers. Tickets are available from any North Myrtle Beach Rotarian and will also be available at the door.
