The North Myrtle Beach Rotary Club’s Exchange Student, Cory McCord, recently spent time at both the morning and the lunch meetings presenting a photo journal of his time in Germany. He began his year in Wuppertal, Germany, located southeast of Dusseldorf. While there, Cory enjoyed not only a tour of Germany, but also a Euro-Tour, through a Netherlands District, which took him to Prague, Venice and Rome, just to name a few cities.
In addition to seeing much of the scenery Germany had to offer, he also experienced a hunting trip with one of his host families, some beach time on an island off the coast and Christmas on a smaller scale than his mom’s usual celebration. He saw a lot of snow and built a first rate snowman. Oktoberfest in Germany seemed to be a favorite among his many adventures.
The Rotary Club of North Myrtle Beach will be hosting its annual Family Spaghetti Fest on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 5-7:30pm at the North Myrtle Beach Primary School. With the help of Carrabbas, BNC and The Printing Port, the Rotary Club is serving up a delicious spaghetti dinner. In addition to dinner, they will be hosting a silent auction, bake sale, live entertainment, as well as, face painting and contests for the kids. Get tickets for just $8 from any North Myrtle Beach Rotarian and they are also available at The Printing Port in North Myrtle Beach.
