Pawleys Island Rotary Club applied for a grant to install a building to protect a walk-in freezer for the Outreach Farms Program. Outreach Farms provides protein  (meat) to 20 soup kitchens and food banks in Georgetown, Horry and Dillon County. Outreach Farms delivered 108,00 protein meals in 2015.
The freezer will allow for a more efficient way to distribute the food to these organizations. A building was installed to protect the freezer from the outdoor elements.
On August 5th Rotarians gathered to complete the grant project and install the building. Local media was on sight to help promote the project. The Grand Strand News took pictures and conducted interviews. WPDE the Myrtle Beach ABC affiliate was there to film Rotarians completing the installation and also conduct interviews.
A big THANK YOU to the DISTRICT for the grant approval and for all those who helped with the project.
