TR 2The Rotary Club of the Lowcountry had the honor and privilege of hearing from a nationally recognized Theodore Roosevelt impersonator.
Joe Wiegand, regarded as the premier reprisor of the 26th President of the United States entertained and educated the club.  A Rotarian himself, the Lowcountry club was the benefactor of his “make up” meeting last week as he was in the area for a fundraiser.  We delighted in his stories and adventures as a rancher, Rough Rider and father of six in the White House.  We learned about his Naval career and his establishment of America’s great National Parks, Monuments and Wildlife Reserves.  A teddy bear (The teddy bear was named after President Theodore Roosevelt) was presented to club member and Port Royal Police Chief Alan Beach to be given to a deserving child in need.  Rotary’s standing ovation left no doubt of his effectiveness. Excellent presentation!
