Rotary Club of Carolina Forest learned of “First Lego League and Robotics Education”, a program for students aged 9-14, and other programs designed to encourage youth to explore various robotic technology. Club member Amanda Bailey (left) stands with Brandy Incorvia (right), Santee Cooper Community Relations Education Representative at a recent club meeting. Ms. Incorvia described the First Lego League and presented a film on Robotic Competition, a 48 team competition of the Horry County Technical fair. She described the upcoming events: March 17, Women in Technology (WIT) Luncheon and Tour at the Academy for Arts, Science and Technology (AAST); March 24, Sixth Annual Grand Strand Tech Expo-Myrtle Beach B Convention Center(Hall A)exhibits open from noon to 5 P.M.; March 24, Horry County Schools Technology Fair -sponsored by the Grand Strand Technology Council, MB Convention Center (Hall B); April 10,Third Annual Robotics Education Support Night at the MB Pelicans Ballpark.
