The Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant had the pleasure of hearing South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson speak at our May 13th meeting. Since being elected, Attn. General Wilson has focused on keeping South Carolina’s families safe, defending their freedom and protecting their futures. As South Carolina’s Attorney General, Wilson is the state’s chief prosecutor, chief securities officer and the state’s chief legal counsel. The office is comprised of more that 200 employees and nearly 75 attorneys who manage nearly 8,000 active case files.
He spoke with our group about the efforts of his office, in conjunction with the State Legislature and law enforcement, to clarify and improve the laws concerning domestic abuse and human trafficking. The information and statistics that he presented were a real eye-opener for our Rotarians.
The Rotary Club of Mt. Pleasant recently presented Kyle Murrell his 1st Paul Harris Award. Congratulations Kyle!
