South Carolina State Senator John Courson spoke at Rotary Club of the Vista Night on Tuesday, February 6th. Sen. John Courson, a Republican representing Richland County and part of Lexington County, is one of the esteemed senior members of the state’s Senate. He presently serves as President Pro Tempore of the South Carolina Senate and is second in line to the governorship, following the lieutenant governor in succession to the position. Senator Courson spoke and answered questions about the state’s budget, the direction of partisan politics, education, taxes, and a host of other issues. One of the club’s members, Will Stork, is a former page for Sentator Courson and shared some of his fond memories from his time working for the senator many years prior.
