Greetings from the Zone 33-34 Southland Young Professionals Consulting Team!
Rotary International reached out to our zones in June 2016 looking for Rotarians under the age of 45 to start a dialogue and better understand how to attract and engage young professional Rotarians and Rotaractors. We had the opportunity to meet other Rotarians and Rotaractors in Atlanta for a jam-packed weekend. Even though we are from different areas of the country we found we all have the same issues of getting the younger members of our communities to embrace Rotary.
The Zone 33-34 Young Professionals Consulting Team is a small energetic segment of the group who met in Atlanta. Our mission is to serve clubs and districts who desire to recruit, retain, and engage service-minded leaders of all ages through a unique perspective as young Rotarians and Rotaractors.
We have set up a website (http://www.rotaryypteam.us/) for others to communicate with our team and in-vite Rotarians to ask any of our members questions related to gaining the interest of young professionals in their communities. The website also gives individuals information related to what impact our age group has in the world. In addition, we have a Facebook page that is seeing quite a bit of interest, but we can always use more. Please visit https://www.facebook.com/rotaryypteam/ to see all that’s going on and get your questions answered. We have team members ready and waiting to assist. Therefore, just reach out to our team as we are ready to help you any way we can to grow the under 45 population of Rotarians around the world.
