On 6 November 2012, Jim Seay spoke to the St. Andrews Rotary Club about his career in sports broadcasting. Jim is a native of Columbia graduating from Columbia High School, before his career took him to Virginia and Texas.

Seay is an award winning announcer, recognized by both the Coaches Association and the National Motorsports Association. Jim developed a life-long working relationship with Bob Fulton, Voice of the Gamecocks, helping Fulton produce a compilation of the best calls of Fulton’s Gamecock announcing career. Jim worked as a public address announcer for seven University of South Carolina sports teams for more than 20 years.

Jim still broadcasts and is the owner of Information On Hold, an audio service provider.
