JMD_3869The Camden and West Wateree clubs held their “Happy Feet” project at K-Mart the Saturday before school started.  They purchased a total of 91 shoes (that’s 182 “Happy Feet”) and gave school supplies to 150 students.

District 7770 Governor Jimmie Williamson made is official visit to the Camden club. He is pictured with Camden Rotarian Joe Jackson, who at 88 is the second oldest club member and has been in the club for 53 years.  Joe wore a bow tie in honor of DG Jimmie’s visit.

Last week Camden Rotary hosted the Distinguished Honor Graduates from Camden High School.

These students maintained an “A” average throughout 4 years of high school!

jelly driveThe Camden and West Wateree Rotary Clubs of Kershaw County partnered in October to hold a jelly drive for Christian Community Ministries, a local food bank. Because peanut butter and bread are provided through other sources, the drive was coordinated to balance the food bank’s offerings. . Approximately fifty jars were collected.

West Wateree and Camden Rotary Hold Trivia Night Fundraiser

The West Wateree and Camden Clubs held a trivia night fundraiser and social on Wednesday, September 18th. Members from each club utilized vast stores of useless knowledge to earn the honor of holding on to a beautiful stuffed squirrel, which functioned as an official trophy for the event. Funds generated through sponsorships and member participation were split between the two clubs.The Camden Club won by one point, ostensibly without any funny business. A rematch will be held in January.
