What: April in Paris Wine Social

When: April 9 from 6:30-8:30

Where: Coosaw Creek, North Charleston

The Lowcountry RWAF April in Paris wine tasting will pair French wines with your French food.

The cost:

  • $15.00 for RWAF members, $20.00 for non-members paying in advance through our PayPal account: lowcountryrwaf@gmail.com;
  • $25.00 at the door – payable by cash or check.

If you’re not a member of the RWAF, join – you and a significant other will attend RWAF events at a discount.

Please bring a French-inspired food, such as:

Women Rotarian’s Champagne Tea in Mt Pleasant on January 25 3:00-5:00

The Lowcountry Rotary Wine Appreciation Fellowship is holding a Champagne Tea for Women Rotarians* on Sunday, January 25 from 3:00 to 5:00 in the Old Village of Mt Pleasant. There will be pop-up boutiques of jewelry and clothing, including Carolina Classic. Meet women Rotarians from all over District 7770, taste a variety of champagnes and shop!

*Significant others of female RWAF members and male Rotarians attired in pearls/hats/gloves are also invited to attend.

From Charleston/West Ashley:

Cross the Ravenel Bridge and stay right, going to Coleman Blvd for 1.5 miles. Turn slightly right on Whilden Street for .4 miles. Whilden Street becomes Royall Avenue for .08 miles. Turn right on to King Street for .04 miles. 310 is on the right.

From North Mt. Pleasant:

Going south on Route 17, take the 526E exit going to SC Route 703/Chuck Dawley Blvd for 1.3 miles. Turn slightly right on Coleman Blvd for .8 miles. Turn left on Simmons Street for .3 miles. Turn right on King Street for .2 miles. 310 is on the right.

Andy Van Dam and his wife Linda were recognized as Foundation Major Donors at a recent meeting of the West Wateree Lugoff Rotary Club. Andy is also a charter member of District 7770’s Paul Harris Society.

Jimmy Gibbs (left), an assistant governor for Rotary District 7770 in eastern South Carolina,

congratulates Columbia Capital Rotary president Mark Bokesch for the club’s achieving 2-

STAR status. This signifies annual Rotary Foundation contributions of at least $200 per club

member. The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation promoting world understanding and

peace through international humanitarian, educational and cultural exchange programs. It’s

supported solely by voluntary donations from Rotarians and friends who share the vision of a

better world.

What: Rotary Grant Management Training/Foundation/Membership Seminar, Thursday, September 11, 2014

Must sign up for one of the following:

Grant Management Training – Two required to attend per Club, preferably the President and President-Elect to sign the MOU and qualify for 2015-2016 District Grants.

Foundation 101 – The Nuts and Bolts of the Foundation – Attendees should include Club Foundation Chairs, Treasurers, New Members and anyone interested in learning more about Our Foundation

Membership Seminar – Attendees should include Club Membership Chairs, Public Image Chairs and anyone interested in learning about Membership Initiatives.

Where: Alice Drive Baptist Church 1305 Loring Mill Road, Sumter, SC

When: Thursday, September 11, 2014 Registration starts at 8:00 am and Plenary session begins at 8:45 am.

Registration cost: $55 per person.
