Hilton Head Island, SC. . . The Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island presented its second annual Rotary ROCS (Rotarians Offering Community Service) Program on Saturday, February 22, 2014.  Approximately 150 club members, visiting Rotarians, Interact members, family members and volunteer Master Gardeners were involved in painting, grounds and facilities clean up, office projects, and fundraising at 13 nonprofit organizations on the island. Projects included:

Painting:  Volunteers in Medicine, Boys and Girls Club, Memory Matters, HH Symphony Orchestra, HH Humane Society

Groundskeeping:  Coastal Discovery Museum, Zion Chapel of Ease Cemetery, The Children’s Center, Memory Matters, Xeriscape Garden (at Town Hall)

Facilities clean up:  Deep Well, Volunteers in Medicine, HHI High School, The Children’s Center, First Presbyterian Day School

Office work:  Coastal Discovery Museum, The Children’s Center, Volunteers in Medicine

Fundraising assistance:  Literacy Council of the Lowcountry “Cooks and Books”

The work activities concluded with a fellowship picnic at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn Plantation.
