The Rotary Club of Georgetown was honored and privileged to present Deputy Mandy Glover of the Georgetown Sheriff’s Department the club’s 2018 Vocational Award.
The Vocational Service Award is presented annually to someone in the community who has exemplified outstanding professional achievement while maintaining very high ethical standards. Deputy Glover was nominated by her colleagues at the Sheriff’s Department where she has served the community for 23 years. She currently serves as the school resource officer for Rosemary Middle School. In addition, she affectionatly created “Mandy’s Closet” at the school, where she refurbishes used clothing and makes it available to students in need.
Sheriff Lane Cribb, who was present for the presentation said, ” Deputy Glover has been with the department for 23 years and is one of the most dedicated and caring people he has ever met. She is a true asset to the Sheriff’s Department and Georgetown County.”
