G’Day from Sydney
It is with great pleasure that I invite all Rotarians from around the world to join us in Sydney for the 105th Rotary International Convention. I am certain you will love Australia’s Harbour city, whether it’s your first time, or if you’re a regular visitor.
Sydney presents a unique blend of world-class events, cultural activities, stunning natural attractions and of course premium dining and shopping. Our businesses are vibrant and innovative. Our communities are diverse and welcoming. Our friendly city is made up of almost 200 peoples from around the world and has been voted one of the world’s most liveable cities.
As a Rotarian myself, I know that Rotary has a strong following in Australia. In fact, there are over 1,100 clubs that undertake many programs and projects to improve the delivery of health services, support the development of education and work towards the alleviation of poverty both here in Australia and overseas. This is valuable and meaningful work that delivers positive outcomes to global communities.
Sydney is delighted to be hosting the 2014 Rotary International Convention and I look forward to welcoming you to Sydney and our State. The international convention provides a great opportunity for likeminded Rotarians to connect. Please make our home your home during your stay next year, and take time to discover our city’s and State’s hidden gems and make memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
See you at the Convention at Sydney Olympic Park, June 1-4, 2014.
The Honourable Barry O’Farrell MP
Premier of New South Wales
