Macie McMillan is a rising 5th grader at Myrtle Beach Intermediate, and this is her 5th year of raising money to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to less fortunate students. She spoke to the Myrtle Beach Rotary Club Monday, August 15 about her project. She has bought and filled 126 backpacks this school year. Rotarian Dionne Buonto gave her 50 unused backpacks, and other Rotarians gave generously so that Macie could fill even more.
