Rotary Club of Carolina Forest-Sunrise : Boulevard Median Maintenance Project
Rotarian Carlos Scheer (L)owner of Carolina Shores Real Estate, presents his company’s $500 (five hundred dollar)check to Dr. Kevin Kristick (R) ,Club Service Chair in support of the Club’s Boulevard Maintenance Project at a recent club meeting. The project’s goal is to assist in the care and appearance of the CF Blvd. from Highway 501 to Gateway Drive- nearly one mile of roadway which has been highlighted in the news lately due to lack of maintenance following the dissolution of the Carolina Forest Property Owners Association. Horry County government officials have stated that it will remove the shrubbery and bush hog the median if a private organization does not take over the project. The Rotary Club responded to the challenge and pledges “to assist in the project goal of maintaining the pristine appearance and image of our community and work with area community leaders to find a long term solution”. The club pledges to maintain the professional appearance of the medians for the remainder of 2014 by hiring a local lawn care company for this purpose. The Club is soliciting donations from businesses, home owners associations and individual residents of the community to fund the project.
