Originally from the Philadelphia region, Jimmy Gray serves as Director of Government Affairs with the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Prior to joining the Chamber, Jimmy worked on Capitol Hill for a U.S. Congressman for seven years. It was during this time that Jimmy met his wife, a Myrtle Beach native, and they decided to move to her hometown. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park. Jimmy is responsible for advocating for pro-business legislation and regulation in the public policy arenas at the local, state and federal levels of government.
Jimmy addressed and updated the club on the many of the Chamber of Commerce’s priorities, such as the downtown redevelopment project and current plans, business support programs available in the area and the status of I-73 and its importance to the safety of grand strand community as well as the positive effects of building a diverse economy in the future. Exciting times here at the beach.
