August 5th, 2020, Matthew Gibson, curator for the Natural History Museum in Charleston was the Club’s guest speaker at the Club’s weekly breakfast meeting held virtually. Matthew provided an informative discussion on the impact of fossil fuels in the Lowcountry.
August 12, 2020, Robert Behr, a reporter and columnist for the Post and Courier was the guest speaker at the Club’s weekly breakfast meeting held virtually. Robert hosted a provocative discussion on the first amendment and the press in today’s culture.
August 19, 2020, the Club hosted its planning event for its upcoming fundraiser. George Roberts shared the plan for a matching fundraiser through the month of September since the Duck Race for 2020 had to be canceled due to the pandemic and recent change in lottery laws.
August 26, 2020, District Governor Pauline Levesque was the guest speaker at the Club’s weekly breakfast meeting held virtually. Pauline shared her vision for the District to “Increase the Ability to Adopt.” Pauline brought great energy and suggestions to the Club.
