Give More. Do More. Be More! That’s the philosophy of Rotarian and well-known photographer and owner of Tides Eye Photography, Donald Hovis, Jr. That’s the message he recently shared with members of the Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach.
Giving back to his community is important to Donald. He’s currently involved with the Grand Strand Miracle League, Salvation Army of Horry County, Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program, BNI Changing Tides, Substitutes for Santa, Cops & Bobbers, Leadership Grand Strand Alumni Association, Leadership Grand Strand Board of Regents, Habitat for Humanity of Horry County, Help 4 Kids, and the Special Olympics.
Well-respected throughout the Myrtle Beach area and in Rotary circles, Donald is the President of Chicora Rotary Club in Myrtle Beach and serves as the CWRAP (Conversations with Rotary Action People) Host for District 7770. Starting July 1st, 2021, he will begin a three-year term as Public Image Chair for Rotary District 7770. Incidentally, Donald is the son of Don Hovis, Sr., past president of the Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach. Rotary, it seems, runs in the family.
Congratulations, Donald and thank you for all you do for the Grand Strand! Our community is better because of you.
