The board of directors of Honor Flight Savannah needs your help:
We offer veterans a free weekend trip to Washington, DC to visit our nation’s war memorials, but are challenged in reaching World War II and Korean War veterans, who, because of their advancing age need to make this visit sooner rather than later. Can you assist in getting the word out to all veterans, but especially those who served during World War II and Korea? They are our number one priority.
To assist you, I am attaching a flyer that we ask you post or distribute to veterans. We would be most appreciative.
Honor Flight Savannah serves veterans in the greater Savannah area and north through the South Carolina Low Country up to and including Charleston. We take groups to our nation’s capital twice a year – in September/October and in April/June. Our next trip is the weekend of May 3-5, 2019. Rather than flying, Honor Flight Savannah uses a motor coach, departing from Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah on a Friday, touring the war memorials all day on Saturday, and returning home on Sunday.
Thank you for your support.
