Bob Montgomery, President of the Newberry County Historical & Museum Society and fellow Rotarian, spoke to the Chapin Rotary Club about the conversion of a historical building into a new museum in Newberry, SC. The historical building selected was originally the 7,000 sq.ft. Post Office facility built in 1911, and was the 4th busiest postal facility in the state at that time. The building later served for years as Newberry’s Public Library.
