Myrtle Beach Rotarian, Lt. Colonel Jim Kendrick, celebrated his 101st birthday with friends, neighbors, and fellow Rotarians who hosted a parade of cars at Brightwater Retirement Community on Sunday, May 17.
Jim, an active member of the Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach, was a 1940’s Citadel graduate, a bomber pilot flying B-52’s, and is recognized as a community leader throughout the Grand Strand.
“When you think of Jim, you think of character, honesty, and integrity. He’s just a great, great man,” said Don Hovis, President of the Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach
Kendrick’s accomplishments and admirable qualities are evident in the crowd’s birthday signs, waves, and special messages. “We’re proud to have Jim as a member, and we wish him many more birthdays,” said Don.
