SC Congressman, Tom Rice, recently joined Myrtle Beach Rotarians at their weekly luncheon meeting where he discussed upcoming legislation and current events affecting the nation, state, and district. He discussed in detail the impact of Covid19 on the state, and commended Rotarians for their part in helping to curb the pandemic.
A resident of Horry County, SC since the age of four, Tom Rice has a deep-rooted connection to the Grand Strand and Pee Dee areas. He has served the community through many charitable and civic organizations including the Myrtle Beach Haven Homeless Shelter, Grand Strand Sertoma Club, Ocean View Foundation, Trinity Episcopal Church, YMCA, and York Place.
In addition, he has had the opportunity to sit on several community advisory boards, including the Horry County Probate Court Advisory Committee and the Myrtle Beach Board of Zoning Variances.
