Recently, Sandi Kendrick, Executive Director of the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, spoke at the North Myrtle Beach Rotary Club’s Tuesday lunch meeting. The Humane Society’s facility is currently full, with 130 cats/kittens and 60 dogs in need of homes.
They are always accepting donations such as litter, food, toys, leashes, and cleaning products. For a complete list check out their website at www.humanesocietynmb.org. They are holding their 14th Annual Ride for the Animals Fundraiser on Saturday, November 15th and adoption events every weekend at PetSmart in Gator Hole Plaza.
On Saturday, November 22nd, from 10am-4pm at Wags & Whiskers on 5th Avenue South, you can have your pet photographed with Santa Paws.
For our next big project, the Rotary Club of North Myrtle Beach will be distributing bags in accessible North Myrtle Beach communities on November 20th. The morning of November 22nd, we will back out in those neighborhoods to collect non-perishable food donations which will be given to St. Delight’s Food Bank.
If you are in a gated community and we can’t access you to provide a bag, we would be grateful for any food donations that you can drop off at Carolina Family Dental, Prince Resort and Sandhill’s Bank (NMB location) through November 22nd. Your generous donations will help provide Thanksgiving Dinners to local families. Thanks again to Boulineau’s for the donation of the bags. Please remember to support the businesses that support your community.
Sandi Kendrick, Executive Director of the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, and NMB Rotary President, Tripp Davis.
