North Myrtle Beach Rotary Club’s guest speaker last week, Russ Cavender, THE SNAKE CHASER, brought some friends to the Tuesday lunch meeting at the Surf Club. His guests included a copperhead, a cottonmouth, several corn snakes and a black hog nose snake. He is an avid believer in not killing these animals but finding new homes. The cottonmouth, found near water, are the most dangerous. It’s important to know that if you do find a snake and behead it, the head continues a biting motion and can still be deadly. In addition to chasing snakes, Russ also handle the removal of other reptiles and wildlife.
North Myrtle Beach Rotary Club has also announced the date for their annual Spaghetti Supper, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21st (5:30-7:30pm). The Spaghetti Supper, being held at Ocean Drive Elementary, will also include a Bake Sale, a Silent Auction, games for the kids, the Mini Living Legends and more to entertain you.
