Just a reminder that Rotary ROCS is this Saturday, February 22, from 9 am to noon (see Feb. 5 announcement below for details).  Please let me know if you are planning to attend so that I can make arrangements for you to enter those facilities that normally are closed on the weekend.

On Saturday, February 22, the Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island will be conducting its second annual Rotary ROCS (Rotarians Offering Community Service) program from 9 am to 12 noon at the following venues/projects:

Boys and Girls Club — wall painting

Zion Cemetery — clean up

Children’s Center — office work

Coastal Discovery Museum — path refurbish

Deep Well — clean up

First Presbyterian Day School — power wash

HHI High School — clean up

HH Symphony Orchestra — wall painting

Humane Society — fence/wall painting

Memory Matters — grounds clean up

Volunteers in Medicine — cleaning/painting

Xeriscape Garden (at Town Hall)– clean up

ALL members of the HHI Rotary Club are expected to participate in one or more of these activities. This event provides good opportunity for photographs of community residents in action. Please let me know if you are planning to attend, so that I can arrange for your entry into these facilities.  You also are invited to join us at noon at Honey Horn Plantation for lunch, photos and interviews as we celebrate the day’s service accomplishments.
