Just a reminder that Rotary ROCS is this Saturday, February 22, from 9 am to noon (see Feb. 5 announcement below for details). Please let me know if you are planning to attend so that I can make arrangements for you to enter those facilities that normally are closed on the weekend.
On Saturday, February 22, the Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island will be conducting its second annual Rotary ROCS (Rotarians Offering Community Service) program from 9 am to 12 noon at the following venues/projects:
Boys and Girls Club — wall painting
Zion Cemetery — clean up
Children’s Center — office work
Coastal Discovery Museum — path refurbish
Deep Well — clean up
First Presbyterian Day School — power wash
HHI High School — clean up
HH Symphony Orchestra — wall painting
Humane Society — fence/wall painting
Memory Matters — grounds clean up
Volunteers in Medicine — cleaning/painting
Xeriscape Garden (at Town Hall)– clean up
ALL members of the HHI Rotary Club are expected to participate in one or more of these activities. This event provides good opportunity for photographs of community residents in action. Please let me know if you are planning to attend, so that I can arrange for your entry into these facilities. You also are invited to join us at noon at Honey Horn Plantation for lunch, photos and interviews as we celebrate the day’s service accomplishments.
