Rotary Club of Cheraw members responded to the request for volunteers to assist with the anticipated group of over 800 students at the first NETC Middle School Explorers Event.
Shown on this photo are Rotary Club of Cheraw President Hough and Robert Teal, along with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., members Herbert H. Gould and John T. Henegan. Other Rotarians who worked the event were Dr. Kyle Wagner, Sherrie Chapman, and James Dixon.
Eighth graders from Chesterfield, Marlboro, and Dillon Counties were on the NETC campus in Cheraw on March 29. The students explored the campus, learned about different careers, and got information about the certificate and degree programs that NETC has for high school students and high school graduates. Students and volunteers heard presentations about advanced manufacturing, allied health, dual enrollment, public service, student life, and scholarship opportunities.
