At our Zoom meeting this week we had a highly informative speaker for our meeting, a young man, age 15, who is a youth ambassador for Tourette’s Association of America. He explained what it is, how it exhibits itself along with how it has affected him and why he feels led to be an ambassador.
Our President Jennifer Creed informed us that she has ordered all members of the club protective face masks from Rotary International. They will be well used and much appreciated! The city of Forest Acres has refunded the monies paid to them for the Forest Acres Festival which was cancelled this year due to COVID-19.
We have been participating in a contest in our bulletin to keep our members involved. You were to recognize your Rotarian from a baby picture. (a sample of the pictures submitted is attached). This was great fun and the winner of the contest was Charline Mayo. A new potential member attended our meeting. He has already completed Discover Rotary and we were excited to have him in attendance.
We are having a tailgate and ice cream social in a parking lot for our fifth Wednesday social. Of course, there will be social distancing. It will be good to see all at the social.
