Principal Love Ligons, Tara Terry, Damon Terry, and Dr. Stephen Hefner
On January 30, 2013 the Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo recognized the student of the month for January 2013. Love Ligons, Principal at Nursery Road Elementary School, presented Damon Terry to the club as this month’s student of the month. Damon is a student leader at Nursery Road and was described as someone who encourages others to get involved in activities. He recently led fellow students to write letters to the District requesting funds to make repairs on campus. His ambition is to become President of the United States. The Rotary club was proud to present Damon with an award for “service above self” the motto for Rotarians and a gift certificate from Sonic the Irmo/Ballentine location who is delighted to reward students making great choices in our community. Damon’s mom, Tara Terry, was in attendance for the presentation.
