Rotary Club of the Lowcountry celebrated their Change of Watch Ceremony Friday evening at Yemassee’s Frampton Plantation House. Outgoing President Kathy Crowley thanked her board and all club members for their support and resiliency through the coronavirus situation. As per tradition, she passed the gavel to incoming club president Peach Morrison who then swore in her board.
Other members recognized included outgoing Assistant District Governor Charlotte Gonzalez who was thanked for her years of leadership, support and commitment to Rotary, member Dick Deuel who was named Rotarian of the Year and Kerry Bunton, who helped the club reach new heights in giving to Rotary’s Alzheimer’s research arm, called the CART Fund and Rotary Foundation. Rotary Club of the Lowcountry is consistently ranked within the top clubs for giving. Also, inducted that evening, was new member Armin Wahl.
Rotary Club of the Lowcountry meets virtually Friday mornings at 7:30 a.m. If anyone is interested in joining, visit www.rotaryclubofthelowcountrybeaufort.org.
