Below is a recap of the Daniel Island Rotary Club’s activities for the month of October:
On October 7th at the weekly breakfast meeting members recapped the success of the September fundraiser.
On October 14th Jane Baker spoke about all things Daniel Island from governing bodies on DI to philanthropy efforts at the Club’s weekly breakfast meeting.
October 21st, members gathered for their annual Chili Cookoff which raised $1190.00 to be shared between Polio Plus and the CART Fund. Congrats to Wild Bill Cannon for sponsoring the winning chili!
October 28th, membership was the focus at the weekly breakfast meeting. The Club is currently experiencing its highest enrollment with 79 members! Members were encouraged to be engaged in the Club through various committees and events.
Jim Miller and Nicole Stewart are the Club’s newest members added this month – Welcome!
Members participated in several valuable service opportunities from a workday at Veteran’s Park, handing out food to those in need in the Cainhoy Community’s Festive Food Drive, a Blood Drive for the Red Cross, and also building and delivering desks to local area students.
