On May 24, Horry County Sheriff Phillip Thompson spoke to the Rotary Club of Carolina Forest Sunrise. The Sheriff discussed a relatively new program initiated by his office called SOAR (See Overcome Achieve Recover)
designed to help youth 12 to 16 years of age not take the wrong path in their lives.
He explained how the program involves both the youth and their parents.
His talk was well received.
