She has traveled in 70 plus countries speaking and raising funds for Our Rotary Foundation, including Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Brazil, Australia, Italy and San Salvador. Anne has worked with Walter Hughes in Ghana on building schools and numerous other Global Grants. She works with all Foundation focus areas but specifically Basic Education and Literacy and Polio. She currently chairs the Polio Advocacy Committee in the United States and starting July 1, 2020 will serve on the International Polio Plus Committee (IPPC), and participated in three NID’s in India. It’s fair to say she stays very busy!

Walter’s team passionately provides clean water and sanitation to over 615,000 people in Africa. He is working to build nine schools in Ghana. He has partnered with two hundred fifty-six Rotary Clubs in fifty-three Rotary districts in fifteen countries. Partnering Rotarians live in Québec, Ontario and British Columbia in Canada, Mexico, Australia, Switzerland, Taiwan, India, the Caribbean islands, Ghana, South Sudan, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, South Africa, Peru and twenty-five U.S. states. He also partners with non-profit organizations, churches and regular individuals.

Nancy has led over 15 teams to India for National Immunization Days to eradicate Polio since 2009! She has partnered with Districts in India on Global Grants for heart surgeries, eye surgeries, libraries, WASH In schools, polio correctives and Happy Schools! She sits on the advisory board of Rotary India Literacy Mission and has raised $3 million to help educate children and provide clean water in rural India! She has also worked with Walter Hughes and her District is building a Jr. High School in Ghana! Her Rotaract Think Tank has recently developed partnerships in Ghana and will provide 10,000 books to the schools there. She has sponsored teachers in Kenya for certification and has partnered with the RC of Kenya to build a training center in the Kibera slums.

After Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast, Sandee traveled to Pass Christian, Mississippi with Grant money and donations from the Hilton Head Island Club to rebuild a playground to give the children back a sense of normal. In July 2016, she and fellow District Governors along with RI President John Germ went to Montego Bay, Jamaica to present a Microscope to assist with eye surgery for children. This Grant was funded by 22 Districts in Zones 33-34. In January 2019, Sandee participated in a National Immunization Day (NID) in India.
Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach-Chicora, SC – District 7770 ( email@example.com)
Jeff participated in three Global Grants. First Grant involved a safe water installation with Water Mission in a very remote subsistence village called General Merino in 2014. Second grant involved placing latrines at each residence in General Merino as well as the villages of Villa Maria and Santa Rosa. He negotiated with local government officials to include the village of Santa Rosa in this project. Each of these villages has less than 50 residences. Third Grant involves a water project in the village of Doce de abril, which is on the “high” side of the Amazon river and can be reached by road from Iquitos.

Bill has made 8 mission trips to Haiti as a medical missionary and operated on 125 of the poorest people on earth. In 2002 and 2004, he did Matching Grants for Water and Sanitation projects in Croix des Bouquets ($96K) and Gorman ($48K) in Haiti. In all, he helped to raise $2.2 M, not all from Rotary. Bill supported children in grammar schools, a clinic that saved approximately 1,000 children each year from starvation, many mobile medical missions. He provided much needed medical equipment including a portable x-ray machine, a Daihatsu truck, a cement mixer, etc. He has completed 50% of a Sanitation Matching Grant in Peru for $105K and is considering partnering with a club in California for the new scalable grant that may be multi-year involving 7 figures, working again in conjunction with Water Mission.
Ellie was a 2016-2017 Rotary Global Scholar for D7770 and attended King’s College London to receive an MSc in Global Health with a Concentration in Conflict, Security, and Development. She has been involved with Rotary since high school Interact Club in Mobile, Alabama, and founded the College of Charleston Rotaract Club in 2014 in Charleston, South Carolina. Now, she works at Chemonics International in Washington, DC, in the United Kingdom Division where she supports the division’s operations team as well as an education and countering violent extremism project in Syria.
