Chapin High School student Adam Abdulrahman, along with community supporter Lill Mood, joined the Chapin Rotary Club for breakfast and spoke briefly about an exciting project underway to plant sequoia trees in Chapin. The goals of the project are to bring the community together in a joint effort, establish Chapin as a destination with a unique feature, environmental and aesthetic improvements, and demonstrating our faith and confidence in the future.
The Chapin High School Academic Leadership Academy is leading the implementation of the project. Adam is serving as student leader for the project, with support from Lisa Maylath, faculty sponsor. The target date for initial planting is Arbor Day, December 5, 2014
