Eight Charleston-area Rotary Clubs (Daniel Island, Goose Creek, Johns Island, Mt. Pleasant, North Charleston – Breakfast, North Charleston – Lunch, St. Andrews, and Summerville) combined to make the 2015 Rotary Charity Duck Race a great success. 30,000 rubber ducks raced down the Wando River on a beautiful day. The people who came to the event enjoyed paddleboard and kayak races, a car show, games and activities for children, food and beverages, a band, and prizes for the folks who adopted the first 35 ducks to the finish line, including a new car from Hendrick auto dealers for the first place duck. The real winners were area charities and Rotary programs to change lives and build better communities. Over $120,000 was raised for these purposes bringing the 9-year total raised to over $1,000,000! 2015 Rotary Charity Duck Race Goes Over $1 Million Mark!
