The Rotary Club of Daniel Island made Christmas happier for 50 seamen whose container ships visited the Wando Port during the holidays.
Club members assembled the boxes provided by the Charleston Seafarers organization. They purchased men’s toiletry items – shampoo, soap, toothpaste, razors etc. and filled the 50 boxes with the items. Hard candy and a personally signed Christmas card were added to fill up each box.
These pictures show club members and family members filling the boxes and signing cards for the seamen.
