The Rotary Club of Forest acres had a tribute to all who were and are in the Armed Forces in honor of Veterans Day. Our very special guest, Pauline LeVesque, District Governor, thanked all Veterans. She reported on Rotary from the international level to our local district level. and the need for  strategic planning. We need to increase our ability to adapt with research and innovation.Rotary membership is the responsibility  of all it’s members. We all need to cultivate good people as prospective members. We need to see more young professionals getting involved.
Feeding the hungry across the globe is a pressing issue. We hope to eliminate hunger by the year 2030.One of the ways we can do this is through grants and matching funds.  Blessing Boxes, (similar to a lending library) are being erected as a community wide effort to feed the local hungary. The box is stocked with non perishables and people can take what they need.
A cause which is near and dear to our District Governor’s heart is, The Foundation. Our Club made a donation to The Foundation in the amount of $300.00 in her name.
Discover Rotary will be held January 27th at 11:30. On December 16th we will have a club assembly. there will be no meetings on November 25th, December 23rd, and December 30th due to holidays.
