Pauline Levesque, newly elected District Governor of District 7770, 2020-2021, has been a member of the Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach since 2006. She has served in many club leadership roles and was named Rotarian of the Year in 2008.
A Rotarian for 33 years, Pauline has held numerous positions in District 7770, including Assistant Governor for Area 10. She has served on training committees, has chaired the District Conference Committee, and for over five years served on the District Foundation Committee handling District Grant Closing Reports. Pauline is a graduate of RLI. She is a Ten Star Member and received the District Distinguished Service Award in 2017.
Pauline’s Rotary career began when she was asked to join the Southington (CT) Rotary Club as its first female member. She served as the club’s first female president during 1990 – 1991 and later served a second term as club President, 2000 – 2001. Pauline earned the RI Presidential Citation both years and achieved RI Presidents CHALLENGE 2001. She was the Assistant Governor of District 7980, 2002-2003. In 2004, she was chosen District Rotarian of the Year. That same year the Southington Rotary Club bestowed upon Pauline a Lifetime Achievement Award. She served that club for 18 years.
Pauline is a supporter of the Rotary International Foundation and has been the organizer of numerous fundraising events in support of Polio Plus and the Foundation. She is a Paul Harris Fellow, Benefactor, Sustaining Member, and a member of the Paul Harris Society. She strives to be an everyday philanthropist.
Pauline, who holds a Master of Management from Cambridge College, Cambridge, Massachusetts, is involved in numerous business and community volunteer positions in the Myrtle Beach area. Among her most cherished life achievements is her marriage to Ron Levesque, her husband of 50 years. Pauline and
Ron have five children and seven grandchildren.
