The Sumter-Palmetto Rotary Club awards scholarships each year to
deserving local students based on an application that includes
academic and extracurricular achievements and their answers to an
essay prompt that demonstrates their values. Of 18 applicants, the
club awarded funding to Noah Chase, Knowlton Davis and Carolyn
McAdams. They attended a presentation at the club’s weekly
Thursday lunch meeting at The Restaurant at Second Mill in front of
club members and their parents.
Each received a one-time scholarship of $1,500.
