Johnny Moore, District Governor 2019-2020
Johnny Moore is a member of the Rotary Club of Chapin Sunrise. He was born in Spartanburg, SC and graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1971. He enrolled at Clemson University in 1971 where he majored in Industrial Management and joined the Air Force ROTC program where he earned a four- year ROTC scholarship. He graduated in 1975 with a B.S. in Industrial Management and was a distinguished graduate of Air Force ROTC. He has worked in the garment manufacturing industry, the bottling industry, sold computers for four different companies and founded SouthMed, Inc. (now Signal Technologies, Inc.) in December 1992 which he owned until December 2018. Johnny joined the Rotary Club of St. Andrews-Columbia in September 2007 where he served as Club President for 2010-2011 and Foundation Chair for 2011-2012. He transferred to the Rotary Club of Chapin Sunrise effective July 1, 2012. He served as Assistant Governor for Area 3 of District 7770 for 2013-2016. Johnny was the District 7770 Membership Chair from July 2016 – June 2018. He is a Paul Harris Society Member, Paul Harris Fellow and a Bequest Society Member. He is married to the former Susan Anne Saine of Irmo, his college sweetheart; and they have been married for over 43 years. Johnny and Susan have three daughters all married to Godly young men and ten wonderful grandchildren. He is a member, choir member, drama ministry member and Elder (not currently serving) at St, Andrews Presbyterian Church in Irmo. Johnny’s hobbies include fishing, woodworking and shooting sporting clays.
David Tirard, District Governor 2018-2019, IPDG
David Tirard joined the Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island in 2003. He is a Ten Star Rotarian and holds the Four Avenues of Service Citation. He was elected President in 2011, and he led the club to Large Club of the Year recognition at the District Conference in March 2012. At District level he has served on the Grants Committee since 2010, served as Paul Harris Society Chair since 2013 and as an Assistant Governor from the same year. He holds two Foundation District Service awards, a Distinguished District Service award, and was recognized as District Rotarian of the Year in 2014. He is a Major Donor, Paul Harris Society member and Bequest Society member. David is British by birth, and enjoyed a thirty-three year career with Barclays Bank Plc. Most of his career was spent in the UK, but a tour of duty in Zambia as a bank auditor really opened his eyes to the poverty suffered in a third-world country. (This experience helps fuel his passion for the Rotary Foundation). Upon retirement he came to the United States in 2001, where he met his wife Susan. They moved to Bluffton SC in 2002. She is also a Rotarian, and they enjoy two children and eight grand-children in the USA, and two children and three grand-children in the UK. In the little time they have outside Rotary, they enjoy cooking, gardening and looking after the three Golden Retrievers they have rescued.
Pauline B. Levesque, District Governor Elect 2020-2021
Pauline is a member of the Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach. Pauline has been a Rotarian for 30 years. She has held many positions in District 7770 including Assistant Governor for Area 10, Training Committees, District Conference Committee Chairs and for the last four years on the District Foundation Committee handling District Grant Closing Reports. She is also a graduate of RLI, Ten Star Member and received the District Distinguished Service Award in 2017. She has been a member of the Myrtle Beach Club since 2006 having served in many club leadership roles. She was named Rotarian of the Year in 2008. Her Rotary career began when she was asked to join as the first female member and later elected as the First Female President of the Southington Rotary Club, Connecticut, during 1990 – 1991. She served a second term as Club President 2000 – 2001. She earned the RI Presidential Citation both years and achieved RI Presidents CHALLENGE 2001. She was also the District 7980 Assistant Governor 2002-2003 and in 2004 she was chosen District Rotarian of the Year. That same year the Southington Rotary Club bestowed a Lifetime Achievement Award. She served that club for 18 years. Pauline is a supporter of the Rotary International Foundation. She has been the organizer of numerous fundraising events in support of Polio Plus and the Foundation. She is a Paul Harris Fellow, Benefactor, Sustaining Member and a member of the Paul Harris Society. Pauline holds a Masters of Management from the Cambridge College, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her career has been varied working as the CEO/President and/or Director in roles in banking, Chamber of Commerce, trade organizations and education. She moved to Myrtle Beach to take a position as CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association. Currently, she is the Director of Sales at Myrtle Beach Seaside Resorts. Pauline is involved in numerous business and community volunteer positions in the Myrtle Beach Area. Among her most cherished life achievements is her marriage to Ron Levesque, husband of 49 years, five children and seven grandchildren.
Paul R. Walter, District Governor Nominee 2021-2022
Paul was born in Camden, SC and being the son of a Methodist minister, he lived primarily in the upstate of South Carolina until moving to Hilton Head in 1993. He and his wife, Jennifer have been married for sixteen years and have two daughters, Hanna (13) and Celia (11). Paul is a Senior Vice President/ Area Manager for the Hilton Head market of Pinnacle Financial Partners (formerly BNC Bank/Beach First National Bank). He has been in his current position/employer since 2002 and in banking since 1992. Paul is a 1992 graduate of Wofford College with a BA degree in Business Economics. He joined Rotary Club of Spartanburg Downtown (District 7750) in 2001. And transferred to Rotary Club of Hilton Head Island on 2/27/2003 to present. Paul completed service as Club president for the 2013-14 year in which Rotary Club of Hilton Head was honored with District Large Club of the Year. He is currently serving as the District 7770 EarlyAct Chairperson, District Treasurer, and District Governor Nominee. He is a Paul Harris Fellow + 7, Paul Harris Society, Sustaining Member and Paul Allen Ten Star Rotarian. Paul is a graduate of RLI in 2012. He has been awarded the District Club Builder Award in 2014-2015 and District Service Above Self Award in 2016-2017. During his time in Hilton Head, he has been active in Leadership Hilton Head Island/Bluffton, Greater Island Council, Sons of the American Revolution / Member & Chapter President, First Presbyterian Day School, First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head Island.
